Mardiono Optimistic that PPP Will Pass 2029 Election Verification
General Chairman of the United Development Party (PPP) Central Executive Board, Muhamad Mardiono, has stated his optimism that PPP will pass the verification stage leading to the 2029 elections. He assessed that the party’s readiness, both in terms of structure and administration, has been fulfilled with solid cadre support down to the regional level.
“I am not worried about passing the election verification. Our cadres are still intact and administratively, God willing, we can meet all requirements. It’s just a matter of ensuring order in its management,” Mardiono said after opening the simultaneous Branch Consultative Meetings of PPP District Executive Boards across West Java Province in Sumedang on Sunday, 5 April 2026.
Nevertheless, Mardiono reminded that the main challenge for PPP does not end with passing verification. He stressed the importance of increasing vote acquisition through structured and measured electoral work, prioritising solidarity and synergy among cadres.
“Electoral work is important. To achieve victory, we must ensure that votes at every polling station can be managed effectively and measurably,” he stated.
On that occasion, Mardiono also reaffirmed PPP’s commitment to supporting government programmes under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto. He emphasised that this support must be accompanied by active oversight from cadres to ensure the implementation of programmes is truly on target.
“PPP supports government programmes. I ask all cadres to participate in monitoring their implementation so that they are on target and truly improve the welfare of the people,” he asserted.
As a form of appreciation and motivation, Mardiono also gave Umrah pilgrimage gifts to three attending cadres. This step is hoped to boost the enthusiasm of cadres to remain actively contributing to growing the party symbolised by the Kaaba.
With the strengthening of internal solidarity and commitment to public interests, PPP is optimistic about facing future political dynamics while increasing public trust.
