Mardiono Ensures PPP Remains Solid Heading Towards 2029 Elections
The Chairman of the United Development Party (PPP), Muhamad Mardiono, has ensured that the PPP continues to strengthen organisational consolidation and move forward together in facing the 2029 General Elections. To achieve this, the party is working to bolster its strength from regional to central levels.
This was stated by Mardiono during a series of PPP activities in Yogyakarta on Saturday (2jack 2026) evening. During the event, the PPP held the P3MUDA National Gathering, the activation and inauguration of P3MUDA, as well as the inauguration of the regional, branch, and sub-district leadership boards (DPW, DPC, and PAC) across the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
Mardiono stated that all these agendas are part of the effort to build PPP’s solidarity, both at the central and regional levels. According to him, organisational strength must be built hierarchically, down to the lowest level.
“This represents a very good and compact collaboration, from the centre to the regions,” said Mardiono on Sunday (27/9/2026).
Mardiono emphasised that this consolidation is part of the PPP’s preparations for various agendas leading up to the 2029 General Elections, including the preparation for political party verification as election participants.
In addition to strengthening its structure, the PPP is also encouraging regeneration through P3MUDA, which is composed of young cadres under the age of 35 from across Indonesia. Mardiono noted that the younger generation will be given space and responsibility to participate in the PPP’s journey towards the 2029 Elections.
Mardiono stated that the solidarity of cadres is a vital asset in executing the party’s agenda. Therefore, he urged all PPP ranks to continue working together and maintaining unity.
From Yogyakarta, this consolidation serves as part of the PPP’s steps to strengthen its structure, expand the involvement of young cadres, and unite all party ranks in welcoming the 2029 General Elections.
“We will continue to work solidly, moving from Sabang to Merauke, and increase our vote share to 10-11 million, which will be directly proportional to the votes in regencies/cities, provinces, and the central level,” Mardiono concluded.
