Muhamad Mardiono, the President’s Special Envoy for Food Security, attended an iftar gathering with 10,000 orphans organised by Yayasan Rumah Yatim at Senayan City, Jakarta, on Friday, 6 March 2026. In the occasion, Mardiono expressed his utmost appreciation and gratitude to all parties that had collaborated to organise the event. According to Mardiono, the event, which brought thousands of orphans together, serves as an example to society of the importance of social care and the spirit of togetherness. “This shows that through togetherness and collaboration, we can bring happiness to our children, especially those who may have limitations and require more attention from all of us,” he said on Friday, 6 March 2026. The man who serves as the General Chairman of the PPP’s Central Executive Board notes the synergy between social organisations, the business world, and the community in this activity as a form of care worthy of appreciation and a source of collective pride. Mardiono also stated that the government, particularly the UKP Office for Food Security, is open to continuing to support and collaborate with various parties, including providing education and guidance to children in the care of social organisations. “These children are the generation to come for the nation. We must continue to provide motivation and encouragement so that they can reach their highest aspirations,” he said. He also hopes that activities like these can continue in line with President Prabowo Subianto’s message, as part of joint efforts to build a strong generation towards Indonesia Emas 2045. “Care for children, especially those who require attention and support, is part of a joint endeavour in building a strong, capable generation ready to welcome the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045,” he concluded.
