Marcos willing to sing with Ramos

MANILA (AFP): The widow of former Philippine dictator
Ferdinand Marcos said yesterday she was willing to sing a duet
with President Fidel Ramos in an election campaign.

Imelda Marcos, a member of congress for her home province of
Leyte, said she was ready to give support to any Ramos candidate
in the election next May if asked.

"You know me, I'm very obedient. If the people ask for a song,
I will sing. Even if he (Ramos) is there," Marcos told reporters,
adding: "We can even do a duet."

Ramos, a distant relative of Ferdinand Marcos, has distanced
himself from Imelda Marcos and has remained cool to her requests
that her husband be accorded a hero's burial.
