Marc: The opening race of the season will always be special

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Ducati Lenovo rider Marc Marquez has always been impressed by the opening race of the MotoGP season, which he considers to be very special for starting the season.

The 2025 world champion will begin his quest to defend his title in the 2026 season at the MotoGP Thailand, which will take place at the Buriram Circuit, Thailand from Friday to Sunday.

“The opening race of each season, even though I have been through it for several years, will still feel special,” said Marc on the official Ducati website, Friday.

However, Marc is undergoing preparations this season in less than ideal condition after having to deal with an injury.

In addition, the rider from Catalonia, Spain, also had an accident during the pre-season test session.

The results were not too impressive, but Marc is confident that this season will once again lead him to achieve positive results.

“The race simulation ended earlier than expected, but until then, we always felt positive,” said the rider with the number 93.

Marc wants to try to repeat the sweet story of last season when he won the opening race with the Ducati Lenovo team at the Buriram Circuit.
