MAPCO seeks coal in RI

TULSA, Oklahoma, USA (Reuter): MAPCO Inc. said Tuesday it
signed a joint venture agreement with PT Tambang Batubara Bukit
Asam, the state coal mining company for the Republic of
Indonesia.

The agreement calls for the study, development and marketing
of coal reserves on Tambang Batubara's South Sumatra concessions
and participation in the development of related power plants,
power transmission facilities and rail and port facilities.
