Many Large Technology Investments Lack Human Talent Readiness Support
Jakarta – Many organisations remain focused solely on technology. Companies make significant investments in technology, but fail to prepare their employees for these changes.
Amid the acceleration of digital transformation that demands organisations move quickly and adaptively, the role of Human Resources (HR) is increasingly becoming the determinant of change direction. The success of transformation is no longer determined solely by the technology adopted, but by talent readiness, organisational culture strength, and leadership capable of understanding change dynamics.
Ahmad Fachrur Rivai, Chief of Customer Success at Talentlytica, revealed that many organisations remain trapped in a technology-only focus.
“We often see companies invest heavily in systems and platforms, but have not fully strengthened talent readiness within them. Yet transformation will only work effectively if people are ready to change and are led with the right approach,” said Ahmad Fachrur Rivai during a discussion titled ‘Talentlytica Diorama: A Space for HR Reflection Amid the Digital Transformation Wave’ in Jakarta.
According to him, HR has a strategic role in ensuring change can be executed sustainably. This ranges from identifying talent with high learning agility, encouraging relevant upskilling and reskilling, to building behaviour-based evaluation systems.
The discussion flowed into crucial issues such as the urgency of reskilling amid changing work roles, the importance of building collaborative culture across generations, and the challenge of developing resilient leaders in increasingly data-driven organisations. Participants agreed that digital transformation ultimately represents human transformation.
