Many Dealers Selling Used Avanza for Affordable Rp 70 Million, Here's Their Condition
Jakarta – The second-hand car market has again become busy with low MPV units at increasingly affordable prices. One model that is widely sought after is the older-generation Toyota Avanza, which can now be obtained starting from around Rp 70 million.
Several second-hand car dealers are offering various production years with conditions claimed to be still suitable for daily use as well as long-distance travel.
One unit being offered is an Avanza from 2006, 1.3 G manual variant. The seller claims the car is still well-maintained despite its relatively high mileage.
“The car body is smooth and shiny, the engine is ready for out-of-town use. The suspension is soft and has been serviced; the tie rod and ball joint have just been replaced,” said a seller in Jakarta via OLX (28 February 2026).
The unit is blue in colour with a B-series registration plate under a private name. The vehicle tax is also said to remain active until May 2026. The car has covered 260,000 kilometres. The cash price is Rp 72 million and is negotiable after viewing the unit.
In terms of specifications, the Avanza 1.3 G early generation is equipped with a 4-cylinder DOHC VVT-i engine coded K3-VE with a displacement of approximately 1,298 cc. This engine is capable of producing around 92 PS of power with approximately 120 Nm of torque, paired with a five-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive.
The car also has a seating capacity for seven passengers, a fuel tank capacity of approximately 45 litres, and uses MacPherson Strut suspension at the front and a 4-link coil spring setup at the rear.
Another option comes from a 2011 Avanza 1.3 E manual model being offered at a slightly higher price. The seller emphasises the original body condition.
“Avanza E 2011, original sheet metal body. Price Rp 79 million, cash payment,” the seller said.
As for specifications, the 2011 Avanza 1.3 E still uses a 1,298 cc DOHC VVT-i engine that produces around 92 hp of power and approximately 120 Nm of torque. The car uses a 5-speed manual transmission, has a seating capacity for seven passengers, and features a length of approximately 4.1 metres with a wheelbase of 2,655 mm. The braking system uses disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear.
Meanwhile, another unit also available is a 2008 Avanza with a 1,300 cc engine and manual transmission. The seller claims the engine condition is still smooth and ready for use.
“The engine is dry and smooth, dual blower air conditioning, car body is smooth and shiny, condition is excellent,” the seller said.
The vehicle documents are said to be complete, including the vehicle registration certificate (STNK), vehicle ownership certificate (BPKB) and invoice. The vehicle tax is also claimed to be valid until September 2026.
“Cash price is Rp 79.5 million, negotiable at home. The car is ready to use,” the seller added.
Technically, the 2008 Avanza remains in the first generation with the K3-VE 1,298 cc engine using VVT-i technology. Its power ranges around 86–92 hp with approximately 120 Nm of torque and a five-speed manual transmission. The car also features a 7-passenger configuration with 185/70 R14 tyre sizes and approximately 200 mm of ground clearance.
With prices starting from around Rp 70 million, the older-generation Avanza remains one of the popular choices for second-hand car buyers seeking a family vehicle with relatively affordable operating costs. In addition to being known for fuel efficiency, this model is also in high demand because of the abundant availability of spare parts and relatively easy maintenance.
