Many bridges dilapidated

SEMARANG, Central Java: A total of 421 out of 3,027 bridges in the province are in critical condition and need immediate repair, Antara reported yesterday.

Chief of the local public works office Sri Winarti said that limited funds mean repair work is proceeding in stages. From three bridges in Rembang regency, for instance, only one will be repaired this year. (31)
