Since the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme began being implemented nationally, the term SPPG has been increasingly heard across various regions. However, many members of the public do not yet understand what the SPPG actually is and why its existence is so vital to the programme’s execution.
Behind the millions of nutritious food packages distributed daily to students, toddlers, and pregnant women, there is a large operational system working behind the scenes. This system is known as the Nutritional Fulfillment Service Unit (Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi, or SPPG). Here is a summary of several interesting facts that may not be widely known:

Although closely associated with free meals for students, the scope of the SPPG programme is actually much broader.
