Manusuk Sima Tradition Commemorates Nganjuk's 1,089th Anniversary
A group of teenagers staged a theatrical performance during the Manusuk Sima tradition ceremony as part of the commemoration of Nganjuk’s 1,089th anniversary at Candi Lor, Nganjuk Regency, East Java, on Friday (10/4/2026). The Manusuk Sima tradition ceremony is commemorated every 10 April and serves as the flagship cultural tourism agenda of Nganjuk Regency, marking the establishment of a tax-free area by King Mpu Sindok of the Medang Mataram Kingdom as the historical cornerstone of Nganjuk’s founding, based on the Anjuk Ladang inscription.
