Manunggal operates Hercules

JAYAPURA, Irian Jaya (JP): Private air carrier PT Manunggal
Air Service will start operating three Hercules aircraft to
support air transportation in the province.

Company director Widodo said recently the C-60 aircraft would
be very useful to help solve the province's transportation
problems.

"The aircraft will help transport people and goods from the
province capital Jayapura to all regencies, especially areas that
cannot be reached by ship or car, such as Wamena and Puncak Jaya
in the mountainous Jayawijaya regency," he said.

One plane is on standby at Sentani Airport, he said, adding
that the aircraft could also carry basic needs, electronic goods
and construction materials to neighboring areas inside Papua New
