Manulife Profit Surges on Insurance Premiums and Investment Returns
JAKARTA - PT Asuransi Jiwa Manulife Indonesia recorded a performance surge throughout 2025. The insurer reported an after-tax profit of Rp1.28 trillion, a 161.5% year-on-year increase. This positive performance was driven by growth in insurance premium income and higher investment returns despite challenging market conditions.
President Director and CEO Lauren Sulistiawati stated that the company’s insurance premium income for 2025 reached Rp3.97 trillion.
Additionally, investment income, including from investment-linked insurance products (PAYDI), amounted to Rp5.09 trillion. “This growth was supported by higher insurance premium income and increased investment returns, including from PAYDI products,” she said on Sunday, May 31, 2026.
Total assets of Manulife Indonesia stood at Rp66.17 trillion in 2025. Meanwhile, net premium income was Rp299.77 billion. Overall, net insurance and investment income reached Rp1.28 trillion with comprehensive income of Rp859.4 billion.
On the capital front, the company maintained strong solvency. By end-2025, Manulife Indonesia’s solvency ratio, or risk-based capital (RBC), was 650%, significantly above the regulatory minimum.
