The Manufacturing Indonesia Series – Batam Chapter 2026 officially opened at the Radisson Golf & Convention Centre Batam on Tuesday (29/09/2026). This maiden manufacturing exhibition presents more than 200 industrial technologies and solutions to support the manufacturing needs of Batam and the regional area.

Carrying the theme “Indonesia’s New Industrial Gateway”, the exhibition runs for three days, from 29 September to 1 October 2026. The event brings together industry players, technology providers, manufacturing companies, and potential business partners in a single forum.

The exhibition is organised by PT Pamerindo Indonesia, a company with over 30 years of experience in hosting various industrial and manufacturing events in Indonesia. The Batam Chapter serves as part of the expansion of the manufacturing exhibition network into one of the nation’s strategic industrial and investment zones.

Portfolio Director of PT Pamerindo Indonesia, Meysuna Stephannie, stated that the exhibition is designed to bring industrial needs and technology providers closer together. “We have introduced the Manufacturing Indonesia Series – Batam Chapter to open closer access between technology providers and industrial players in Batam. We want to help companies find the right solutions to increase productivity, efficiency, and competitiveness,” said Meysania.

According to Meysania, Batam’s position as a Free Trade Zone (FTZ), coupled with its proximity to Singapore and Malaysia, provides the region with strategic connectivity to regional markets. Therefore, the exhibition is intended not only as a promotional platform for technology but also as a space to expand markets and build long-term business collaborations.

Featuring Over 200 Industrial Technologies

The Manufacturing Indonesia Series – Batam Chapter 2026 showcases more than 200 technology displays from both national and international companies. The technologies displayed are directly related to the needs of Batam’s manufacturing sectors, including electronics and semiconductors, precision engineering and machining, metal fabrication and metalworking, automation and smart manufacturing, as well as various supporting industrial technologies.

The exhibition has been welcomed by the Batam Indonesia Free Trade Zone Authority (BP Batam). The Deputy of Investment at BP Batam, Fary Djemy Franscis, stated that access to technology, business partners, and industrial solutions is a crucial factor in strengthening the investment and manufacturing ecosystem in Batam.

“We warmly welcome the holding of the Manufacturing Indonesia Series – Batam Chapter 2026. This platform aligns with BP Batam’s efforts to strengthen the investment and industrial ecosystem through access to the technology, partners, and solutions required by businesses,” said Fary. He added that the exhibition could serve as a space to expand collaboration, open new investment opportunities, and strengthen Batam’s position as an industrial hub connected to regional and global markets.

Driving Manufacturing Efficiency and Productivity

In addition to showcasing technology, the organisers have prepared several supporting programmes targeting the specific needs and challenges of industrial players. One such initiative is the Kaizen Clinic, a free consultancy service that connects visitors with manufacturing practitioners. Industrial players can bring specific problems faced in their companies or factories for direct discussion.

Five practitioners with different competencies are involved in the programme, covering fields such as Lean and Kahend, Karakuri Kaizen, occupational safety, Lean Six Sigma, and CNC and automation systems. Consultations cover the implementation of Lean Manufacturing, productivity enhancement, cost efficiency, change management, occupational safety, and investment calculations for automation projects.

The exhibition also features a Business Matching Programme. Through this programme, potential buyers can communicate their requirements for products, machinery, technology, or industrial solutions. These needs are then matched with exhibitors offering the appropriate products or solutions. This scheme is expected to make business meetings more targeted and open opportunities for cooperation between industrial players and technology providers.

Furthermore, the organisers are holding industrial seminars featuring speakers from BP Batam, Efortech, and APTIKNAS. Several sessions will discuss industrial developments, manufacturing opportunities and challenges, and the utilisation of technology to support industrial sector transformation.

Kadin Kepri Encourages Ripple Effect to Bintan and Karimun

The Chairman of the Riau Islands Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Kepri), Ir Mustava, stated that industrial growth in Batam needs to provide a broader economic impact for other areas in the Riau Islands, particularly Bintan and Karimun.

He noted that Batam, Bintan, and Karimun all hold positions within the Free Trade Zone (FTZ). Therefore, industrial development should not merely focus on increasing investment and the number of manufacturing companies in Batam. Industrial growth, according to Mustava, must be able to create added value and open opportunities for other regions to enter the industrial supply chain. “Batam requires various supporting needs, ranging from raw materials, components, warehousing, logistics, transportation, maintenance, engineering, professional services, technology, energy, and food to labour. This is where the regions in Kepri have the opportunity to participate,” he concluded.
