Man's Body Found in Cisadane River by Bamboo Cutter in Bogor

A man’s body was discovered in the Cisadane River in Cibeteung Muara Village, Ciseeng District, Bogor, West Java. The body was found by a resident who was cutting down bamboo trees.

Parung Police Chief Kompol Maman Firmansyah stated on Saturday (27/6/2026) that the body was found in the river flow, precisely at the Cisarum Bridge. The discovery occurred around 2 p.m. local time when a local resident named Rosid was cutting bamboo near the location.

The witness immediately reported the finding to the head of the local neighbourhood association, who then informed the police. Parung Police officers promptly arrived at the scene to secure the area, examine witnesses, and begin the identification and investigation process. The body was subsequently evacuated from the Cisadane River by officers, and the case remains under police investigation.
