Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) has officially opened registration for the 3rd Phase of the National Vocational Training Programme, running from 19 June to 9 July 2026.

Director General of Vocational Training and Productivity Development (Binalavotas) at Kemnaker, Darmawansyah, in a statement in Jakarta on Saturday, encouraged working-age citizens to seize this opportunity to improve their competencies and competitiveness in the job market.

“The National Vocational Training Programme is part of Kemnaker’s commitment to enhancing the quality of Indonesia’s human resources,” said Darmawansyah.

In this third phase, Kemnaker is targeting 20,000 participants from various regions across Indonesia to join the programme. The training is conducted through the Centres for Vocational and Productivity Training (BBPVP), Vocational and Productivity Training Centres (BPVP), Service Units (Satpel), and Regional Technical Implementation Units (UPTD).

Darmawansyah further stated that improving workforce competence is a crucial factor in meeting the evolving needs of the business and industrial sectors. Therefore, Kemnaker continues to expand public access to job training that is relevant to labour market demands.

“We want to ensure the public has broader access to quality job training. Through this programme, participants can improve their competencies according to market needs,” he said.

Darmawansyah also explained that prospective participants wishing to join the 3rd Phase of the National Vocational Training must have a SIAPkerja account and select a training programme according to their interests and needs. Participants may also complete an optional Job Compatibility Assessment (SPI) and Self-Assessment.

The stages of the 3rd Phase of the National Vocational Training include participant registration until 9 July 2026 at 23:59 WIB. Subsequently, the selection and interview process will take place from 10 to 15 July 2026. Participants who pass the selection will be announced on 16 July 2026. The kickoff for the 3rd Phase of the National Vocational Training and participant orientation is scheduled for 20 July 2026.

Darmawansyah expressed hope that the public would utilise this programme as a means to improve skills for entering the workforce or developing independent businesses. “Vocational training is an investment. The higher the competence one possesses, the greater the opportunity to obtain decent work and contribute to increasing national productivity,” he said.
