Manpower Ministry and HIPMI Jaya Sign Agreement to Boost Workforce Skills
The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) and the Regional Management Board (BPD) of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) Jaya have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in workforce skills development. Secretary General of Kemnaker Cris Kuntadi stated in Jakarta on Thursday that the collaboration is focused on improving workforce competency in line with the needs of the industrial world. “We view the initiatives and ideas presented as highly relevant in addressing sustainable employment challenges,” said Cris. He further stated that collaboration between the government and the business sector is an important part of responding to the ever-evolving employment challenges. According to him, strengthening cooperation with BPD HIPMI Jaya will enhance workforce competency development while tightening the link between training programmes and industry needs. “Particularly in expanding job opportunities, improving workforce competency, and strengthening the link and match with the industrial world,” Cris said. He emphasised that the signing of this MoU serves as a foundation for both parties to deliver concrete programmes that benefit the community. “We believe this moment is the starting point for a strategic collaboration and encourage its joint implementation in the form of real, feasible, and impactful programmes,” he stated. Cris also expressed appreciation to BPD HIPMI Jaya for its commitment to supporting government programmes in the employment sector. He assessed that the collaboration represents a tangible step in strengthening the quality of Indonesia’s workforce. “This collaboration is one of the government’s concrete steps in strengthening the quality of the workforce,” Cris said.
