Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of Manpower Yassierli has urged app-based transport service providers to prioritise transparency in the mechanism for awarding the Religious Holiday Bonus (BHR) for 2026 to drivers and online couriers. In a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday, the minister said transparency is important so that workers understand the basis on which the BHR is calculated and to prevent potential discrepancies and disputes from the outset. ‘With transparency, online motorcycle taxi riders and online couriers are expected to understand the basis of the BHR calculation they receive and potential differences can be prevented from the outset,’ Yassierli said. The appeal is set out in the Minister of Manpower Republic of Indonesia Circular Letter Number M/4/HK.04.00/III/2026 concerning the Provision of the Religious Holiday Bonus for 2026 for Drivers and Couriers on App-Based Transportation Services, issued on 2 March 2026. Regarding recipients, Yassierli stressed that the Religious Holiday Bonus is provided by the app company to online drivers and couriers who are officially registered with the app company within the last 12 months. Therefore, the registration status and partnership history become the main reference in the implementation of the 2026 Religious Holiday Bonus. In terms of amount, the circular letter stipulates that the Religious Holiday Bonus is paid in cash with a value of at least 25 percent of the average net income over the last 12 months.
