Manpower Minister Reveals Latest Update on MagangHub Programme Batch 2
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Manpower Minister Professor Yassierli has promised an explanation regarding the second batch of the MagangHub programme for 2026 will be announced next month. The pledge was made by Yassierli during a press conference at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs office in Central Jakarta on Monday (22/6/2026).
“And for the second batch, we will soon announce the detailed timeline, we certainly hope to be able to implement it in July,” he said.
According to Yassierli, the government has prepared a quota of 150,000 people. Meanwhile, the national vocational training target is 220,000 people for high school and vocational high school graduates and 50,000 people affected by layoffs.
“Of course, these are the steps we are currently taking in preparing the programme,” said Yassierli.
The Bandung Institute of Technology professor revealed that the government has several homework tasks to improve the implementation of the MagangHub programme. The main issues relate to the distribution of internship participants, the distribution of vocational fields, and the professions of the interns.
“The interim evaluation results of our national internship programme in 2025 show there were 102,600 interns and 8,004 companies serving as internship placements across Indonesia. I promise to provide more specific details of the evaluation results, and one of them I will use to present the evaluation findings,” said Yassierli.
