Manhole lids stolen

More than five people fell down manholes on Jl. TM Taruna in
Tangerang, West Java because the lids had been stolen. The local
official are very slow to take action to improve the situation.

Most of the victims are women who are going to market in the
early hours of the morning. Actually, they should ask for
compensation from the local government. They suffered injuries on
their legs and hands and had to get medical treatment.

The Public Works department checked the area and found that
128 lids have been stolen. The lids are made of iron and the
price of each lid is Rp 9000. The public works office has
promised to replace the stolen lids.
