Manggarai Transjakarta Bus Stop to Close Temporarily from 2 May

JAKARTA – The Manggarai Transjakarta bus stop in South Jakarta will temporarily close starting Saturday (2/5/2026) at 05:00 WIB, in line with the accelerated construction of the Jakarta LRT in the area. This closure is linked to the Jakarta LRT Phase 1B project, which is being expedited to connect Velodrome to Manggarai Station. However, Transjakarta bus operations will continue with an adjusted scheme. “Starting Saturday, 2 May 2026, at 05:00 WIB, the Manggarai bus stop will temporarily close due to the construction of the Jakarta LRT in the Manggarai area,” as announced via the Instagram account @infotije. The closure of this bus stop is part of the development stages for Jakarta LRT Phase 1B, which is targeted to begin operations in August 2026. This approximately 6.4-kilometre project will introduce five new stations, including Manggarai as a transport integration hub. The President Director of PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro), Iwan Takwin, stated that the project is currently entering a crucial phase ahead of operations, including system testing and permit preparations. With these adjustments, public transport users are urged to plan their journeys in advance and utilise the provided alternative bus stops.
