Conditions at Manggarai Station returned to normal during the evening rush hour after a Commuter Line train derailed twice at Jakarta Kota and Manggarai. Prospective passengers crowded the platforms of the Manggarai-Depok-Bogor-Nambo line in Jakarta on Friday (4/9/2026).

Observations at 17:46 showed the situation at the station appeared to have returned to its usual busy state during peak hours, following the derailment of KRL CLI 225-4001. The train first derailed at Jakarta Kota at 08:13 WIB, and subsequently derailed again at Manggarai Station at approximately 15:30 WIB. Officials stated that the train set has since been moved to the Manggarai Balai Yasa (maintenance depot).

It was previously reported that KAI Commuter implemented an operational pattern adjustment for the Bogor Commuter Line. Under this arrangement, Bogor Commuter Line services only ran as far as Jayakarta and Manggarai stations before returning to Bogor.

This situation required Bogor Commuter Line users to pay close attention to travel information and instructions from station staff, particularly for those travelling to or through Jakarta Kota Station. KAI Commuter has urged all passengers to follow the directions of staff while the handling process is underway.
