Manggarai Police Chief Distributes Basic Food Assistance to Al Shofa Islamic Boarding School Students During Ramadan
The Manggarai Police Chief AKBP Levi Defriansyah, together with the Chairwoman of the Manggarai Bhayangkari Branch Tantri Levi, conducted a community service activity at Al Shofa Islamic Boarding School, Cuncalawar, Langke Rembong District, Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), on Tuesday, 10 March 2026. The activity was carried out as part of charitable outreach during the holy month of Ramadan.
During the event, Levi presented food aid to the students of Al Shofa Islamic Boarding School. In addition, he provided motivation to the students to remain committed to their studies and observance of the Ramadan fast.
“Fasting is a learning experience to control hunger and thirst, to restrain desires. Therefore, the spirit of fasting must be cultivated from a young age, so that later it can be carried out with ease,” Levi stated in a written statement on Tuesday.
Beyond this, the month of Ramadan presented an opportunity for Levi to encourage the Al Shofa students to develop good moral character and virtue.
“Of course, I hope that the students of Al Shofa boarding school can become individuals with good moral character and etiquette. And I encourage them to become diligent people so that in the future they can become successful and make their families proud,” said Levi.
Following the distribution of food aid, Levi continued the activity by distributing breaking-fast provisions to the community in front of the Manggarai Police Station as the time to break the fast approached. The community service activity was also attended by senior officials of Manggarai Police, officials of the Manggarai Bhayangkari Branch, and members of Manggarai Police.
