Manggarai LRT Station Begins Passenger Service: An Inside Look at This Morning's Atmosphere

Manggarai LRT Station has begun serving passengers following its inauguration by President Prabowo Subianto yesterday. How is the atmosphere?

Observations at Manggarai LRT Station, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (17/09/2026) at 09:00 WIB, showed several LRT users tapping in and out at the entrance gates. Staff members were seen assisting passengers exiting the station, while others waited on the platforms.

LRT services heading towards Kelapa Gading arrive every 15 minutes. The atmosphere inside the trains appeared relatively calm, with most passengers seated in the carriages and no signs of overcrowding on the Kelapa Gading route.

The Jakarta LRT route connecting Kelapa Gading and Manggarai was officially inaugurated on Wednesday (16/09) by President Prabowo Subianto. Following the inauguration, the Governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung, announced a special promotional fare of Rp 8 for the first eight days of operation. He stated that this special rate has been implemented to socialise the new service to the public.
