Mandiri Jogja Marathon 2026: Bank Mandiri Launches Village Empowerment Programme Across 28 Villages
Bank Mandiri continues to strengthen its commitment as a strategic partner to the government in promoting inclusive and sustainable development through the Mandiri Sahabat Desa programme, part of the Mandiri Jogja Marathon (MJM) 2026 series. This Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programme is also part of the commemoration of Bank Mandiri’s 28th anniversary, embodying the spirit of growing together with the community and delivering tangible benefits to the nation.
Through this initiative, Bank Mandiri affirms its role not only in financial services but also in directly contributing to improving the quality of life of the community by strengthening village infrastructure, empowering local economies, and enhancing social welfare. Corporate Secretary of Bank Mandiri, Adhika Vista, stated that as part of the ‘Melangkah Bersama, Membangun Jogja’ (Moving Together, Building Jogja) spirit, the Mandiri Sahabat Desa programme will be implemented in the first and second weeks of June 2026, reaching 28 villages located along the Mandiri Jogja Marathon 2026 route.
Through a series of integrated activities, the programme seeks to create growth value for the community while reinforcing a sustainable impact that can be directly felt by village residents. ‘Mandiri Sahabat Desa is a tangible implementation of the company’s commitment to delivering growing acceleration and sustainable excellence for the community. Bank Mandiri believes that healthy business growth must go hand in hand with community progress,’ Adhika said in an official statement on Sunday (14/6).
He added that through Mandiri Sahabat Desa, the bank, listed under the ticker code BMRI, aims to ensure that the Mandiri Jogja Marathon is not only an international-class sporting event but also delivers real and sustainable social impact for the people of Yogyakarta. This initiative is also part of the commitment to continuously strengthen synergy with local governments, communities, business actors, and various stakeholders in building a more inclusive ecosystem.
One of the main focuses of the programme is strengthening basic village infrastructure through road repairs in the 28 villages along the MJM 2026 route. This effort is expected to improve inter-regional connectivity, facilitate community mobility, support grassroots economic activities, and enhance the aesthetic appeal of the villages.
