Mandating Agent Certification, Century 21 Boosts Property Consumer Confidence

Jakarta – Century 21, a property brokerage company under the Ciputra Group, has mandated that its brokers obtain official certification to comply with the new regulation, Trade Ministry Regulation No. 33 of 2025. This regulation pertains to Standards for Business Activities and/or Standards for Products/Services in Risk-Based Business Licensing for the Trade and Legal Metrology Sector. Head of Marketing Communication for Century 21 Indonesia, Elma Lisa Bancin, emphasised that this step is implemented through official certification for all agents by the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) via LSP BPI. “This initiative is not merely about regulatory compliance, but a tangible commitment from Century 21 Indonesia to deliver higher property service standards that directly benefit clients,” Elma stated in her remarks on Thursday, 16 April 2026. She added that for Century 21 Indonesia, property agents are not just sellers, but professional partners fully responsible for safeguarding client interests throughout every transaction process. Elma assured that with certified agents, clients receive tangible benefits, including safer and regulation-compliant transactions with clear legal foundations; minimised dispute risks from the outset through verified processes; and professional end-to-end guidance from start to closing. Furthermore, there is accurate, transparent, and accountable information presentation, enabling confident decision-making. One of the main strengths of Century 21 Indonesia is the application of transparent, accountable, responsible, professional, and consistent service standards across its entire network. “This means clients need not worry about unclear practices, undisclosed information, or confusing processes. Every stage, from listing and negotiation to closing, is executed with measurable and monitorable standards,” Elma said. Amid a market still filled with many illegal and uncertified property agents, Elma continued, Century 21 Indonesia stands out with nationally tested and recognised standards.
