Management Revitalisation Strengthens Organisational Consolidation at AMPI
The Central Executive Board of the Indonesian Renewal Youth Force (DPP AMPI) has again revitalised or restructured the organisation’s management. This step was formalised during the IX Plenary Meeting of DPP AMPI held at the DPP AMPI Secretariat in Jakarta on Thursday (23/7/2026), chaired by DPP AMPI General Chairman Jerry Sambuaga. DPP AMPI Organisation Chairman Arman Saputra assessed the management restructuring as an appropriate form of organisational strengthening at this time. According to him, the restructuring undertaken by the General Chairman is also intended to ensure the organisation’s machinery runs more effectively in the future. During the IX Plenary Meeting, a number of strategic decisions were made, ranging from refreshing the structure of various working fields to adjusting personnel in key management positions. This process is described as part of the organisation’s periodic evaluation to ensure the management apparatus remains effective until the end of the 2022–2027 term. Arman, who also served as Chairman of the Social and Political Affairs Department of the PB HMI for the 2013-2015 period, emphasised that this kind of management restructuring is common and falls under the duties and authority of the General Chairman in maintaining organisational solidarity. He added that the revitalisation of the management is not solely aimed at refreshing the structure, but also at strengthening internal coordination and improving the implementation of the organisation’s work programmes. “As the highest leader of the organisation, the General Chairman has full authority to determine the direction and composition of the management, including evaluating the performance of officials in various fields of work,” Arman said in Jakarta on Saturday (25/7/2026). Arman continued that this authority is inherent to the position of General Chairman as part of the mandate given by the organisation’s highest deliberative forum, and is commonly referred to as the prerogative right held by the top leader of any youth or political organisation. In this context, Arman observed that the General Chairman carried out his role as the leader who directly presided over the IX Plenary Meeting, while also being the party that established the final decision on the results of the management’s deliberations. “This prerogative right positions the General Chairman not only as a symbol of the organisation, but also as the legitimate decision-maker regarding internal dynamics, including the replacement and restructuring of management personnel,” he explained. Arman also stated that the exercise of this prerogative right aligns with the organisation’s need to continuously adapt to internal and external dynamics, and is not a unilateral decision but rather proceeds through the mechanism of the organisation’s highest deliberative forum. The revitalisation step was also confirmed as part of the organisational mechanism that operates according to AMPI’s internal rules. The IX Plenary Meeting served as the official forum that legitimised all decisions taken, ensuring the management restructuring has a strong organisational basis. According to Arman, the current management restructuring is an important momentum for AMPI to strengthen internal consolidation, especially ahead of the organisation’s upcoming agendas. He mentioned that the process of evaluation and structural strengthening is a normal part of the dynamics of a developing youth organisation. He also stated that the restructuring step was taken to ensure the organisation’s machinery runs well. “The structural restructuring is an important part of ensuring that every working field is filled by cadres who match their capacity and responsibility, while simultaneously strengthening AMPI’s solidity in facing future challenges,” he said. “This management revitalisation also signals that the General Chairman’s leadership remains the main reference in every strategic decision-making process, and demonstrates that the regeneration and structural refreshment process is running according to AMPI’s internal mechanisms,” he concluded.
