Manado to deport six Filipinos

MANADO, North Sulawesi: The immigration office here said
Friday it is planning to deport six fishermen from the
Philippines who have been detained for entering Indonesian waters
illegally, Antara reported Friday.

Immigration officer, Pujo Sulistyo, said the six Filipinos
will be sent back to Davao, southern Philippines on the
Katherina from the port of Bitung here.

Sulistyo identified the fishermen as Eddi Baon, 26, Carlito
Abeyana, 22, Jerry Senena, 14, Leonardo Flores, 17, Bari Kulio,
21 and Lio Vering, 30.

They were detained after the Indonesian coast guard caught
them fishing in the waters of Talaud subdistrict, Sangihe
district, he said, adding that they have been quarantined in
Mapanget district since Feb. 16.

The immigration office here deported 33 foreigners in January
and February, he said.
