It is known that the man who assaulted three gas station employees in the Cipinang area, Pulogadung, East Jakarta, who had shouted ‘general’s car’ and ‘police chief’, tested positive for drug use.
The perpetrator, who was later identified as JMH, tested positive for methamphetamine and marijuana. This was discovered after he underwent a urine test because he was acting erratically during questioning by police after being arrested.
“The perpetrator tested positive for methamphetamine and marijuana,” said the Head of the East Jakarta Metro Police, Police Commissioner Alfian Nurrizal, quoted from his official Instagram account, Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
Further investigation revealed that the perpetrator was just a private entrepreneur. He was a car rental worker, not a member of the Police Force.
“He is a car rental worker,” he said.
At the time of the incident, JMH was driving a black Toyota Vellfire car with license plate L-1-XD, which turned out to be unregistered. He also insisted on filling up with subsidized Pertalite gasoline for his luxury car. The Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metro Police, Police Commissioner Budi Hermanto, said that the barcode for the subsidized gasoline did not match the vehicle’s license plate.
