SINGAPORE (AFP): Indonesian horse-owner Herry Cahayadi Si has threatened to destroy all his horses if the Malayan Racing Association (MRA) bars him from entering its four clubs, The Straits Times reported yesterday.
The association is expected to consider a request by the South Australian Jockey Club to endorse its June 7 ban on the Singapore-based Cahayadi Si, who has been declared by the club to have defaulted on bets.
The 38-year old businessman, the biggest horse-owner on the MRA circuit with 57 horses, has been banned from entering Australian racetracks for allegedly owing Adelaide bookies some half-a-million Australian dollars (US$365,000).
