Man robs govt office in Palu

PALU, Central Sulawesi: Police officers in Palu arrested on Friday Arbi Prabayuda for stealing two desktop computers, a computer monitor, a scanner, other equipment and Rp 2.5 million (US$266) in cash from a government office.

The items were stolen several days ago from the office of chief of Information and Communication Bureau in Central Sulawesi. Arbi claimed that he was a journalist after the arrest.

Adj. Comr. Elyazer Musa, the chief of East Palu police subprecinct, said that the suspect confessed that he stole the computer equipment but not the other items and cash. -- JP
