Man kills wife over Rp 20m

BEKASI: A man, who allegedly killed his wife late on Tuesday, accused her of stealing Rp 20 million (US$2,222), the proceeds of his family house in Lagoa, North Jakarta.

Iwan Saleh, 36, is now being detained at Jatiasih Police station.

His sister, Nuzulilla, had bought the house from Iwan for Rp 115 million. He gave the money to his wife, Eka Rita Luciana Yusuf, alias Erly. Witnesses said Erly later moved into Nuzulilla's home in the Kemang IFI Graha housing complex, Jatiasih, because Iwan was unemployed and had spent most of the money on drugs.
