Man killed over motorcycle

JAKARTA (JP): Two suspects killed a man in order to steal his motorcycle in Sepu village of Pasar Gembong, Lemah Abang district in Bekasi, on Thursday night, a city police spokesman said.

Lt. Col. Zainuri Lubis identified the victim as E. Kusnadi, 35.

"Two men forcibly stopped the motorcycle ridden by Kusnadi. Then one of the men stabbed him in the stomach and threw him off the motorcycle," Zainuri said, quoting an eyewitness, identified only as Ahmad.

"The two suspects then made off with the motorcycle, leaving Kusnadi to die on the ground."

Separately, Depok Police are searching for six suspected people, who broke into a house in the Rawa Indah village of Pancoran Mas, Depok, early on Friday morning, at 12.45 a.m., Zainuri said.

"They tried to rob the house, but were confronted by three people who lived there, namely Rudy, Tarjo and Karno. The robbers beat up the three guys, but the victims did their best to fight back," Zainuri said.

"The suspected six men ran off, probably too exhausted to rob the house." (ylt)
