A man named Musa Misa reportedly died after being assaulted by his wife, Yuliana Tefa, with a shockbreaker. The incident occurred in Oinlasi Village, South Amanatun District, Timor Tengah Selatan (TTS), East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

TTS Police Chief AKBP Kristyan Martino said the domestic violence incident took place on Monday (24/8/2026) at around 04.00 WITA. Initially, the 56-year-old woman was sleeping in her home.

Shortly afterwards, Musa arrived in a state of intoxication from alcoholic beverages. He suddenly uttered harsh words and scolded Yuliana, threatening to kill her.

According to Kristyan, Musa had repeatedly committed similar acts. Enraged, Yuliana then grabbed a shockbreaker in the bedroom and immediately struck her husband.

Yuliana’s blows targeted Musa’s head repeatedly until he died at the scene. After taking Musa’s life, Yuliana did not flee. She remained at her home until police arrived.

“The perpetrator showed a cooperative attitude when officers arrived at the scene,” Kristyan told detikBali on Tuesday (25/8/2026).

Police have processed the crime scene, conducted a post-mortem examination on the victim, and arrested Yuliana. She is currently undergoing intensive questioning at the TTS Police headquarters.

“The perpetrator also admitted to her actions during interrogation,” Kristyan explained.

He appealed to all residents of TTS, particularly those experiencing domestic conflicts, to resolve them peacefully or report to the authorities. This is intended to prevent similar incidents from recurring.

“So never take vigilante action that actually violates the law and harms all parties,” Kristyan urged.
