Man in Pekalongan Arrested for Alleged Sexual Abuse of Own Child After Victim's Complaint

A 55-year-old man identified as P in Pekalongan Regency was arrested after allegedly sexually abusing his own 4-year-old daughter. The case came to light when the victim complained to her mother.

Police Chief of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasat Reskrim) of Pekalongan Police Resort, Iptu Fauzi Surya Chandra, stated the abuse occurred at the suspect’s business kiosk in Wonokerto District. At the time of the incident, the child was left at the kiosk while her mother was at work.

“The victim was left with the suspect (the child’s father) at a kiosk in Wonokerto District. After being picked up, she complained of pain in her genital area. That’s when the victim’s mother reported the incident to Pekalongan Police Resort,” Fauzi said, according to detikJateng on Sunday, 31 May 2026.

The victim’s mother reported the case to police. Upon receiving the report, the Pekalongan Police Resort’s Criminal Investigation Unit immediately conducted an investigation, processed the crime scene, and interviewed several witnesses, including the suspect.

“On Thursday, 21 May, P appeared for questioning as a witness at Pekalongan Police Resort. After a case review and assessment of sufficient evidence, investigators formally named him as a suspect,” he added.
