Man in Kutuh, Badung, Robbed and Threatened with Murder by Unknown Person

A man, identified only as SA, was robbed and threatened with murder by an unknown person at the Nusa Puri housing complex, Kutuh village, Kuta Selatan sub-district, Badung. The robbery and threat occurred on Wednesday (May 13th, 2026) at around 07:00 local time.

SA was preparing to leave for work when the perpetrator arrived and threatened to kill him and his family.

“The suspect came and shouted, ‘I will kill all three of you,’” said Head of Public Relations at the Denpasar Police, Iptu I Gede Adi Saputra Jaya, on Friday (May 15th, 2026).

SA tried to calm the perpetrator by saying, “Please calm down, be patient.” However, the perpetrator broke into the bedroom and took SA’s bag, which contained a wallet, mobile phone, charger, personal identification, and approximately IDR 35,000 in cash.

SA tried to hold onto the bag, but the perpetrator hit him on the head about 10 times. Unable to fight back, SA shouted for help.

Instead of stopping, the perpetrator became more violent. He picked up a stone in front of the house and tried to hit SA on the head. Fortunately, SA managed to deflect the attack.

The perpetrator then attacked SA again with a glass bottle. SA managed to deflect the attack again.

SA slipped and fell. The perpetrator then punched SA four times, hitting the top and back of his head, causing lacerations.

The victim finally managed to escape to the street to ask for help from local residents. Residents then helped to contact the police, while SA was taken to a community health center for medical treatment.

As a result of the incident, SA suffered from dizziness, lacerations on the back of his head requiring six stitches, bruising on his left arm, and injuries to his little toe.

“Currently, the case is being handled by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kuta Selatan Police, and the victim has filed a report. The perpetrator is still under investigation,” said Agus.
