Man in Karangasem Reports Wife Missing After Leaving Home

Ni Nengah Lestari (27), from Tenganan Village, Manggis District, Karangasem, was reported missing by her husband, I Ketut Ardana, on Friday, 29 May 2026. Lestari has been absent from home for three days since Wednesday, 27 May 2026.

Manggis Police Chief Kompol Made Suadnyana stated on Saturday, 30 May 2026: “Upon receiving the report yesterday, we immediately launched an investigation in the hope that the missing person can be found as soon as possible.”

Preliminary investigations revealed that after leaving home, Lestari contacted her biological mother, stating she would be working. However, she did not provide further details before ending the call.

Suadnyana added that the family has been unable to reach Lestari since, and searches among relatives and friends have yielded no results. “The mobile phone she took is dead, making it difficult to track her location. However, we are continuing our investigation and reviewing CCTV footage around the area,” he said.
