Man in Gunungkidul Wanted for Sexual Assault During Fake Job Interview

The Yogyakarta Regional Police (Polda DIY) have placed a man from Ponjong, Gunungkidul, on their wanted list as a suspect in a sexual assault case. The suspect, identified as Iwan Ade Saputro, 33, allegedly committed the offence during a fake job interview. According to the police wanted notice, Iwan is suspected of sexual assault under the pretence of a job interview, during which he conducted a physical examination of the victim’s belongings. The case is being handled under the Sexual Violence Crime Act. AKBP Verena SW, Head of the Public Relations Sub-division at Polda DIY, confirmed that the suspect is not a repeat offender. The police have circulated the fugitive’s details and photograph and are urging the public to contact the nearest police station or the dedicated hotline if they have any information on his whereabouts.
