An 18-year-old man from Donggo District, Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, became a victim of assault after being tricked by a group pretending to be a woman. The incident occurred on Saturday evening (11/7/2026) in O’o Village, resulting in the victim, identified as Sahrudin, suffering bruises all over his body and requiring treatment at Dompu Regional General Hospital. He subsequently reported the incident to the local police.

Dompu Police Public Relations Head, Iptu I Nyoman Suardika, stated on Monday (13/7/2026) that the six perpetrators lured the victim by using a woman’s mobile phone to contact him via social media. “The perpetrators pretended to be a woman and invited the victim to meet,” Suardika said. The unsuspecting victim agreed to the meeting, but upon arrival at the designated location, he was immediately chased and assaulted by the group. “When the victim arrived, he was chased and then jointly assaulted by several people using bare hands and blunt objects,” he explained.

Following a police report, officers conducted an investigation and arrested two suspects with the initials RM (18) and HA, both residents of Manggenae Village, Dompu District. “In handling this case, Dompu Police personnel have secured two suspected perpetrators, while the search for the other four suspects is ongoing,” he concluded.
