Metro Jaya Police have disclosed a narcotics trafficking case in Cililitan, East Jakarta (Jaktim). A man identified by initials RF (24) is suspected of distributing drugs and has been arrested. The officer in charge, AKP Ari Purwanto of Unit 1, Sub-Directorate 3, Ditresnarkoba of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, said the disclosure began from information from the public about narcotics activity at the location. Officers then conducted monitoring and mapping of the area. Finally, on Tuesday (3 March 2026), around 1.00 pm, in front of PGC Mall, Kramat Jati, officers located a man matching the target’s description who was standing at the roadside. Police arrested the man. “We secured the man identified by the initials RF,” Ari told reporters on Thursday (5 March). Police immediately searched RF. At that time, officers found 2,000 ecstasy tablets suspected to be for distribution by RF. “In the arrest we have secured evidence comprising 2,000 ecstasy tablets,” Ari explained. From the initial interrogation, RF was found to be a student. Police also continued to search RF’s home in Depok City, but no evidence was obtained by officers. RF and the seized items have been taken to the Metro Jaya Police’s Directorate of Narcotics Crime (Ditresnarkoba) headquarters for further investigation. Ari urged the public to jointly help prevent drug distribution by reporting suspicions to 110 if they observe any suspicious indications in their surroundings. “We call on the public to prevent early, anticipate, safeguard their respective environments so that we can together prevent drugs and protect the younger generation from the dangers of drug abuse,” he concluded.
