Man in Bogor Uses Address Inquiry Ruse to Abuse Teenage Boy

A 13-year-old boy was allegedly sexually abused by a man in Cibungbulang, Bogor Regency. The perpetrator carried out the act by pretending to ask for an address.

“The report states that yesterday, the perpetrator claimed to be in front of an alley, perhaps heading to school or elsewhere, and then asked the victim for an address,” said the Head of PPA and PPO of the Bogor Police, AKP Silfi Adi Putri, on Saturday (19/09/202<0xA0>6).

The perpetrator then invited the victim to the specified address. However, instead of the intended destination, the perpetrator led the victim to a bushy area to commit the assault.

“He invited him to that address, essentially asking to be escorted, but instead of the address, he was taken near a landfill area and led into the bushes,” she explained.

The victim’s family has reported the incident to the police, and an investigation is currently underway.

“At this stage, only the reporter has been examined, as the report was only made yesterday. Following our standard operating procedures, we process the report and then assign it to an investigator before examining the victim,” she clarified.

As a result of the incident, the victim is believed to be suffering from trauma. The police have issued a referral to a psychologist to assist with the victim’s trauma recovery.

“Yes, we have provided a referral to a psychologist,” she added.

Circulating on social media, posts revealed that a 13-year-old boy became a victim of sexual harassment by a man in Cibungbulang, Bogor, West Java. The perpetrator used the pretext of asking for an address.

According to the posts, the incident occurred on Wednesday, 16 September 2026. CCTV footage captured the suspect and the victim riding together on a motorcycle.

The narrative suggests that the perpetrator initially approached the teenager to ask for directions and then persuaded the victim to ride on the motorcycle with him.

It is reported that the perpetrator began harassing the victim while on the motorcycle and subsequently took him to a secluded location to complete the assault.

AKP Silfi Adi Putri stated that the police are still working to identify the suspect, as the victim does not know or recognise the perpetrator.

“The victim does not know who the reported individual is, which is why the investigation into the suspect is still ongoing. Yes, the perpetrator is still being identified,” she concluded.
