Man Held Captive on the Second Floor of a Motorcycle Showroom in Cakung, Two Kidnappers Apprehended
Jakarta, VIVA – The quick action of the Bareskrim Polri’s Mobile Criminal Investigation Unit (Resmob) successfully rescued a man believed to be a kidnapping victim on the second floor of a motorcycle showroom in Cakung, East Jakarta.
The victim, named Rizky Nur Aldriansyah (29), was freed after police received a report from the public through the Bareskrim Polri’s ‘Bang Resmob’ WhatsApp complaint service.
The report was received around 12:00 PM and immediately followed up by officers until the victim was found on the same day, Thursday, May 14, 2026.
“Upon arriving at the scene and conducting an investigation into the incident, we successfully located the victim, Rizky Nur Aldriansyah, who was being held captive,” said the Head of the Bareskrim Polri’s Mobile Criminal Investigation Unit, Police Commissioner Teuku Arsya Khadafi, in a statement on Sunday, May 17, 2026.
In the operation, the team led by the Head of Unit 3 of the Resmob Satresmob, Adjunct Commissioner of Police Reinhard H. Nainggolan, also managed to secure two suspected perpetrators named Adrian Budyanto and Rohman.
In addition to arresting the perpetrators, police also confiscated evidence in the form of three mobile phones belonging to both suspects.
The two men are suspected of being involved in a criminal act of kidnapping accompanied by hostage-taking as referred to in Articles 450 and/or 451 and/or 262 of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code.
“Unit 3 of the Bareskrim Polri’s Resmob Satresmob handed over the victim, the suspected perpetrators, and evidence to the Cakung Police for further investigation,” he said.
Teuku Arsya believes that the successful resolution of this case proves that the ‘Lapor Bang Resmob’ hotline service is effective in helping the public, especially in emergency situations that require a quick response from police officers.
“The success of Unit 3 of the Bareskrim Polri’s Resmob Satresmob will encourage other Operational Units and Regional Police Units to quickly respond to reports from the public regarding alleged criminal incidents and conduct investigations and uncover the cases,” he said.
