JAMBI: The Jambi District Court sentenced on Thursday Risman Iskandar, 30, to four years in jail for possessing and consuming 2.387 grams of marijuana and 0.561 grams of shabu-shabu (crystal methamphetamine).
The sentence was lighter than the five years sought by prosecutor Puspa Djuita.
Presiding judge Zaherwan said the defendant, who was arrested at his home in Beringin subdistrict in Jambi last October, was guilty of violating Law No. 22/1997 on psychotropic drugs, Antara reported.
