Man Found Reduced to a Skull in NTT: Turns Out He Was Murdered by His Three Sons
A man named Antonius Nana (47) was found dead and reduced to a skull in the forest, specifically in Kampung Baru, Dusun Aitiris B, Desa Meotroi, Kecamatan Laenmanen, Malaka, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). It turned out that the victim was murdered by his three sons, one of whom was his stepson.
The perpetrators are identified as YDA (27), ADN (18), and AN (17). YDA is the stepson, while ADN and AN are the biological sons.
“The perpetrators are the victim’s stepson and biological sons. They have all been secured at the Malaka Police,” said the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit at the Malaka Police, Iptu Dominggus Duran, to detikBali on Saturday (June 16, 2026).
It started when a resident, BB, went to Antonius’s house and asked about his whereabouts on Monday (May 11) around 8:00 AM. However, at that time, only the victim’s wife, Leonarda Belak, was present.
Leonarda told BB that her husband had left the house since Tuesday (April 28) around 9:00 PM after they had an argument. The argument started when the victim cut open a sack of corn. Since then, the victim had left his house.
Because the victim had been gone for about three weeks, the family filed a missing person report to the Laenmanen Police Station. After days of searching, Antonius was finally found in a terrible condition in the Kalalaran riverbed area, Desa Meotroi, on Tuesday (May 12) around 1:30 PM.
“After receiving the report, police officers conducted a search with the help of residents. The story is that the victim had been missing from home since April 28, 2026, and when he was found, only his skull remained,” said Riki on Friday (May 15).
The victim uttered an obscene sentence to his wife.
Dominggus explained that the victim initially arrived from Malaysia on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. He then had an argument with his wife and uttered an obscene sentence. Hearing this, YDA reprimanded his stepfather. The reprimand made the victim angry, and he hit YDA. They fought until the victim left the house.
The next day around 1:00 AM, the victim returned home. As soon as he arrived, he argued with YDA again. In the fight, YDA threw a piece of wood at the victim, hitting him in the neck, causing him to fall. When he fell, ADN immediately kicked Antonius, and they then beat Antonius until he fainted. They then carried Antonius’s body behind the house, about 500 meters away, to bury him.
“So they carried him together to the back of the house near the riverbed. They intended to bring a machete and a crowbar to bury the victim,” said the former Head of Criminal Investigation Unit at the Nagekeo Police.
The victim was slit twice.
When they arrived at the riverbed, YDA saw that his stepfather was still alive. So, he took a machete that he had brought and slit Antonius’s neck twice until he died. When Antonius was confirmed dead, the three sons dug a hole to bury him. The case was finally revealed after residents conducted a search around the location.
“At that time, they saw that their father was still alive, so the first son (YDA) took a machete and slit his neck twice until he died. Then they immediately buried him,” Dominggus concluded.
