Man found dead while fishing on raft in Situ Cikaret, Bogor

A man identified as W (68) was found deceased at Situ Cikaret in Cibinong District, Bogor, West Java. The victim was discovered dead while fishing. Head of Disaster Management and Logistics for Bogor Regency’s BPBD, M Adam Hamdani, stated the incident occurred on Friday, 29 May. “The victim was fishing at Situ Cikaret with his companion using two rafts. When the witness turned around, the victim was already lying down,” Adam said on Saturday, 30 May 2026. The victim was found lying on his raft. His companion immediately ran to the lakeside to seek help from local residents. “According to family members, the victim had a history of heart disease and hypertension,” he added. The victim was identified as a resident of Depok City. Authorities promptly transported the deceased. “The body was immediately taken to the funeral home as the family did not wish for an autopsy, with police agreement,” he concluded.
