A man with the initials WH was found dead in a hotel room in the Kuningan area of South Jakarta on Wednesday night. The deceased was discovered after his wife, who had received a message of apology from him, came to the hotel to check on him. “This man was staying at the hotel. He was accompanied by a witness at the hotel. Upon checking, it was found that he had passed away,” said South Jakarta Metro Police Head of Public Relations, AKP Joko Adi, to reporters on Friday. Joko stated that the man had been experiencing marital problems with his wife. He revealed that WH, as the husband, felt guilty in the relationship, and the couple had been trying to mend their relationship. “Initially, the husband felt he was at fault towards his wife, then on that day, communication was actually good with his wife, and they intended to make amends,” he said. The man eventually decided to stay at the hotel and was dropped off by his driver, who then waited in the parking area. Shortly after, his wife arrived at the hotel after receiving an apologetic message from her husband. “Yes, that’s exactly it, he had apologised. Then via WhatsApp, the wife became suspicious and came to the hotel,” he stated. Police, who also received a report, immediately went to the crime scene and assisted in evacuating the body.
