Man Found Dead in Malacca Forest: Three of His Children Confess to the Murder
Police have uncovered a gruesome murder case in which Antonius Nana (47) was killed by three of his children: YDA (27), ADN (18), and AN (17). YDA is the victim’s stepson, while ADN and AN are his biological sons.
Antonius’s body was found with only his skull remaining in the forest, specifically in Kampung Baru, Dusun Aitiris B, Desa Meotroi, Kecamatan Laenmanen, Malaka Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
“The perpetrators are the victim’s stepson and biological sons. They have all been secured at the Malaka Police,” said the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit at the Malaka Police, Iptu Dominggus Duran, to detikBali on Saturday, June 16, 2026.
Dominggus explained that the murder began when Antonius returned from Malaysia on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. Upon his arrival, he was involved in an argument and uttered inappropriate words towards his wife, Leonarda Belak.
Seeing this, YDA reprimanded Antonius. Antonius, in turn, punched YDA, leading to a physical altercation between the two. After the fight, they separated, and Antonius left the house.
The following day, around 1:00 AM, Antonius returned home. Upon his arrival, he was involved in another argument with YDA. During the fight, YDA threw a piece of wood at Antonius, hitting him in the neck and causing him to fall.
As he fell, ADN kicked Antonius, and they continued to assault him until he fainted. They then carried Antonius’s body to the back of the house, about 500 meters away, to bury him.
“So, they carried him together to the back of the house, where they intended to bury him. They brought a machete and a crowbar to bury the victim,” said the former Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit at the Nagekeo Police.
Neck Slashed While Still Alive
Upon arriving at the burial site, YDA saw that his stepfather was still alive. He immediately took a machete and slashed Antonius’s neck twice, killing him.
After confirming that Antonius was dead, the three sons dug a hole and buried him. The case was eventually revealed after residents conducted a search around the area.
“At that time, they saw that the father was still alive, so the first son (YDA) took a machete and slashed his neck twice until he died. Then they immediately buried him,” Dominggus concluded.
Previously reported, Antonius’s body was found with only his bones remaining in the forest, specifically in Kampung Baru, Dusun Aitiris B, Desa Meotroi, Kecamatan Laenmanen, Malaka, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
The Chief of the Malaka Police, AKBP Riki Ganjar Gumilar, stated that the incident began when a resident with the initials BB visited Antonius’s house to inquire about his whereabouts on Monday, May 11, 2026, at around 8:00 AM. However, only Antonius’s wife, Leonarda Belak, was at home at the time.
Leonarda told BB that her husband had left the house on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at around 9:00 PM, after they had an argument. The argument started when Antonius was cutting open a sack of corn. After the incident, Antonius left the house.
Because he did not return, the family filed a missing person report to the Laenmanen Police. After several days of searching, Antonius was finally found in a terrible condition in the Kalalaran River area, Desa Meotroi, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at around 1:30 PM.
“After receiving the report, police officers conducted a search with the help of residents. The victim had been missing from home since April 28, 2026, and when he was found, only his skull remained,” said Riki to detikBali on Friday, May 15, 2026.
