Man found dead in Bogor well after three-day disappearance

“Victim last seen on Friday collecting food at his mother’s house,” said Bogor Regency Fire Department Head Yudi Santosa on Tuesday, 26 May 2026.

Firefighters received a report of the incident around 11:11 WIB. Initially, a resident reported a foul odour in the area.

“A resident noticed a foul odour and upon checking the well, the victim was found drowned,” he said.

The victim is believed to have a history of epilepsy. He went missing before being found deceased in the well.

“The victim was only discovered on the third day,” he explained.

Residents reported the incident to authorities, who then proceeded to the scene to conduct the recovery operation.

“The victim was found deceased. The recovery operation took three hours,” Yudi concluded.
