Man Found Bleeding in Central Jakarta Pleas for Help, Suspected Brawl Participant

A man was found covered in blood in the Sawah Besar area, Central Jakarta. The man, who has gone viral on social media, is suspected to be a participant in a street brawl.

In the circulating viral video, the man is seen sitting down, heavily bleeding, and grimacing while pleading for help from residents present at the scene.

When asked for confirmation, the Chief of Sawah Besar Police, Commissioner Egy Irwansyah, stated that the authorities had received the information and immediately followed up by conducting large-scale patrols.

“We have been monitoring the situation, were directly present at the location, and immediately followed up with large-scale patrols,” said Commissioner Egy Irwansyah when contacted on Thursday (1/10/2026).

The incident occurred on Wednesday (30/9) night. According to witnesses, several individuals had gathered, leading to a disturbance at the scene.

“Yes, they were gathering, and the information suggests they were moving around the Jakarta area before the clash broke out in our jurisdiction. There are several injured victims,” he added.

Police are still investigating whether the bleeding man was indeed a participant in the brawl. The victim has since been rushed to the hospital.

“The investigation is ongoing as the victim is still receiving treatment. The injured have been handled. Currently, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Sawah Besar Police, alongside the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Regional Police, is investigating and tracing the perpetrators,” he explained.
