Man Forced to Masturbate in Tangerang Tortured for Five Hours, Blood Vessels Nearly Ruptured

A man named Perubahan Gulo was tortured for more than five hours until a blood vessel in his brain nearly ruptured. He was also forced to masturbate under threat of a knife.

The victim’s legal representative, Risman Harefa, stated that the incident occurred from Tuesday night (28/7) into the early hours of Wednesday (29/7). The victim was assaulted by five individuals inside a house in Panongan, Tangerang Regency.

“There are five reported perpetrators. So, this assault, friends, to be noted, occurred from 11.00 pm until 4.30 am,” Risman said on Tuesday (4/8/2026).

Over the course of more than five hours, the victim endured various forms of abuse, ranging from beatings to being burned with cigarettes.

“Punching, kicking, confinement, threatened with a knife. If he did not masturbate, he was threatened with a knife, that he would be killed,” Risman said.

“Burned with cigarette butts. Yes, burned with cigarettes. There are several marks on parts of his body,” he added.

As a result of the incident, the victim sustained injuries and was treated at a hospital. Risman even stated that the victim nearly suffered a ruptured blood vessel in his brain.

“So, honestly, the injuries to his head potentially included a ruptured blood vessel in the brain, but the doctor said it was minor. Then his entire body is bruised. Yes, bruised, there are still marks on his body, on his hands, everywhere,” he explained.

The five suspected perpetrators assaulted the victim while intoxicated with alcohol. After the assault stopped, the victim was moved to another house.

“So, because it was late at night, already morning, and they were all drunk, they moved the victim to a rented house in front of the place where he was tortured,” he said.

While being held captive in that house, the person guarding the victim fell asleep. The victim took advantage of this situation to escape.

“After being moved there, they tried to confine him there to prevent him from returning to his family. Because they were under the influence of alcohol, they eventually fell asleep and the victim escaped through a window gap,” he said.

Risman stated that the victim had only been working for four days at a savings and loan cooperative, or mobile bank. The victim had met his boss on Tuesday (28/7) to express his intention to resign.

“Our client worked at a cooperative business unit or mobile bank in Panongan. Then, because he felt the business was not right, he eventually resigned and informed his boss,” he said.

However, the boss did not agree and detained the victim to prevent him from going home. The victim was then assaulted when other perpetrators, who were his co-workers, arrived.

“But at that time, the boss did not immediately accept it; instead, the person was detained first to wait for other employees while they drank alcohol,” he said.

“Well, after some time, they carried out the assault, the beating of our client together,” said Risman Harefa.
